Doug Orleans's Chugchanga-L Poll 2001 Entry

First of all, the clear number one album for me this year was

Cave-In, Jupiter (Hydra Head)

...but it came out in mid-2000! I didn't get it until a year later,
but I listened to it many times more than any other record this year.
They also were the best live experience of the year at the Middle East
downstairs in December, with The Icarus Line and The Cancer Conspiracy.
Anyway, here's my top 20 records that are actually eligible, roughly in
