2. interpol, turn on the bright lights (matador)
3. chameleons, why call it anything / live at the academy / this never ending now (artful / paradiso / paradiso )
   one new album (very good), yet two more odd albums to add to the shelf. Live at the academy is even more energetic than the (classic) toronto album, but it sounds way better. Never ending now is much like their previous "strip" acoustic record, but this one works.

5. pavement, slanted & enchanted luxe redux (matador)

   all titles in homelandic
7. tocotronic, tocotronic (motor)
   new wave-ish haircuts. track suits. they have defined a syle in Germany... for better or worse.

    almost as good as you want it to be.
16. David Bowie, heathen (iso)
    Nice. Except for the pixies' cover, which is not even worth releasing as a bonus track to "never let me down."
17. raveonettes, whip it on (orchard)
    one darn good song, remixed eight times, with different titles and lyrics.
