This is a compilation of my favorite recordings of the year. They may not
be what I would consider THE BEST from a critical standpoint...but they are
the records that have refused to leave my stereo over the past 12 months.

IN NO ORDER

1.) American Analog Set--From Our Living Room to Yours (Emperor Jones)
2.) Frontier-Heater (Tug O War)
3.) Friends Of Dean Martinez-Retrograde (Sub Pop)
4.) Shiner-Lula Divina (HitIt)
5.) Revelators-We Told You Not To Cross Us (Crypt)
6.) New Wet Kojak-Nasty International (Touch and Go)
7.) Flaming Lips--Zaireeka (Warner Bros.)
8.) Mono Men-Have A Nice Day Motherfucker (Estrus)
9.) Squarepusher-Feed Me Weird Things (Rephlex)
10.) Laika-Sounds Of The Satellites (Too Pure)
11.) Eleventh Dream Day--Eighth (Thrill Jockey)
12.) Portishead-Portishead (Go/London)
13.) Grifters-Full Blown Possession (Sub Pop)
14.) Spiritualized-Ladies and Gentleman Blah Blah Blah (Dedicated-Arista)
15.) Red Red Meat-There's A Star Above The Manger Tonight (Sub Pop)
16.) Delta 72-The Soul Of A New Machine (Touch and Go)
17.) Bjork-Homogenic (Elektra)
18.) Negativland-Ipsdesip (Seeland)
19.) Jim O'Rourke-Bad Timing (Drag City)
20.) Rex-3 (Southern)

I know that this is sooooo CMJ 200 and maybe too obvious for you Chuggers,
but I am hitting that unenviable state in my record collection/age that I
have too much great old stuff to listen to and not enough time to deeply
research the most obscure yummy tidbits floating through music land.
