NorCal '95

Two years ago I made a tape of some of my favorite bands from Northern California, and called it NorCal '94. Last year, I made another tape, so, naturally enough, I called it NorCal '95. It's not because all of the songs came out in 1995, and it's not meant to be an up-to-date ``State of the Scene'' tape (some of the bands here didn't even exist any more); it's just what I happened to like at the time. I tried to be a little more fastidious this time about including only stuff from indie labels (I even avoided Matador), although a lot of these bands have also released material on major labels.
